Is it illegal to download C.D.'s that our from the library to your computer?
Yes, If you purchase a cd you can legaly make two backup copys (however it sounds like you can put it on as many of your own computers as you want) it's the same way with software and movies, but they put copy protection on it so you can't, but if you could it's legal. (isn't it illeagal of them to stop you from making backups?)
Reply:Mostly likely yes. Check the EULA (End User Licence Agreement) when you try to install it. It probably says something about only installing it on one computer. It might be freeware, then it would be okay.
Reply:Yes. According to the CD or manual, it clearly said it Illegal to make a copy of a CD. It violates the copyright law.
Reply:yes it is since you didn't purchse the cd and are now copying it without authorization from the library who couldn't give you that authorization anyway.
Reply:why do u really give a rats @$$ ... lol .. my rule is .. what they dont know wont hurt them .. so F*** those damn blood suckin librarians n make all the copies u want lol ... but yeh .. it is illigal
